Colca Conventional Tours Arequipa Peru

Colca canyon it is located in the white city of Arequipa Perú. The Colca valley contains a series of beautiful trails, which is still new for adventures and tourism. The area is made up of a practically interminable network of foot paths which cover mountains, joining colonial communities, of incredible natural beauty, these places can be discovered only by foot and the local people, tourist and domestic animals, such llamas donkeys, mules and horses, which are used to carry all the equipment staff.

Special point of interest on the way ; are distinctive eroded tone formations and the abundant local flora and fauna such the Andean condor or spiritual god of the Andes, however the most impressive attraction getting there is the chain volcanoes and glaciers; this is the reason why it is called as the condor trail. Itinerary

Day 1

The first day we will pick you up from your hotel. Then we will leave Arequipa city by a private transportation in the way we will see three of the most important volcanoes mountains in Arequipa, those are misti, chachani, pichupichu, after enjoying those mountains we will get be at the first stop and the entrance to the aguada Blanca reserve, here you will observe the cinnamon color camelid which is named as vicuña with their large eyes.
Then you will drive into the park where you will admire so many llamas and alpacas and local flora. The next stop will be patapampa, the highest point from our journey around this area you will look at one plant which is very special for the local people it is named as yareta, the only plants which grows about 5 m.a.s.l. it produces resinous substance which can be used as fuel for bread oven (they are now protected by Peruvian laws) you will have the chance to watch the apachetas, which are stone piled stacked on the top which is very special for the local people.
Not just in Incas time today as well, now we will go to the next stop is very nice to look out at the volcanoes where you will see the grandeur of the volcanoes, ampato, and abancay, hualca hualca. After enjoying all those wonders, we will go to the chivay town, in chivay town we will have lunch, after a good nap you will go to the hot spring water pools (35’c) in the evening we can go to a folkloric show or Pena, where we will enjoy our evening meal watching a local show. Day 2

We will get up early in the morning at 6:00am for breakfast and then we will go toward Cruz del condor the most anticipated moment for many visitors. Here you can see the elegance of the flying condor with their winds outstretched in the sky as if watching over their territory demonstrating at the same time control over the air.
After watching this amazing experience we will go back to chivay town, stopping to visit the town’s pinchollo, maca, achoma and yanque on the way back. There we can appreciate different Hispanic churches. Later we will arrive to chivay town for lunch then we will head to Arequipa city.
