SECURE YOUR PERMIT FOR 2018, DO NOT MISS OUT!It is becoming more and more difficult to get permits. This year in 2017 almost all of the permits were sold out for the high demand weeks of April, May, June and July within the 1st day of going on sale. By the end of March 2017, the permits were almost completely sold out until mid September!
This year the permits for 2018 are going on sale on the 1st of October 2017. If you wait you will loose out!
We recommend booking your permit at least 8 TO 10 months ahead to avoid disappointment. Also, don't forget that flights may be cheaper in May, September and October, in the off season. Please remember Inca Trail Trek bookings will be on request until confirmed by our Cuzco office. Permit availability can change quickly and we cannot confirm you will definitely get a permit until we have gone to the Inca Trail office and booked it for you (once passport details and deposit have been received). Once confirmed we cannot make any amendments to your Inca Trail permit.please gine us 3 option dates example 02, 03, 04
Many people don’t realize that there is a limit of 500 trekkers per day to start the Inca Trail, and that number includes all of the support staff – guides, cooks, and porters. In order to preserve the integrity of this famous part of what the Inca called the Qhapaq Ñan – the 24,800 mile system of paths that run through the Andes and the ancient Inca Empire and is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – no hooved pack animals are allowed along the majority of what is now known as the Inca Trail. We therefore have to rely on people to help us carry camping gear, food, sleeping and cooking supplies. In ancient times these people were called “chaskis” that ran like lightning along these paths tag-team style, and were famed for the speed in which they could get messages across the vast expanse of the Inca Empire.
South America’s most famous trek is the most stunning and unforgettable way to reach the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu.
Along the way, the four-day trek takes in three Andean mountain passes, Inca ruins and stupendous views of the snowcapped Andes.
