ITINERARY
Day 1: Lima
Arrive Lima.
Reception at the airport and transfer to the Mariel Hotel lima. Rest, relax, and enjoy the city.
Day 2: Lima - Cusco B-L
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco (1 hour). Arrive Cusco and transfer to the 3* garcilaso or royal inka. Use this morning to acclimatize. Your hotel is one block walking distance from the plaza, and is surrounded by cafes, artisan markets, museums, and nice walkways. Spend this day at leisure exploring your environment.
In the afternoon (around 12 pm) enjoy a training walking guided visit of the four ruins nearby on; the Sacsayhuaman overlooking the city of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose main attraction is the monolithic altar representing a puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, a beautiful fountain fed by a spring forming a series of basins continue to the city of Cuzco. Day 3: Sacred Valley B-L
Full-day excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas and to the ancient Inca market town of Pisac. A visit will be made to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that was not defeated by the Spanish. Return to Cuzco and the traditional market town of Chinchero. Return to your hotel. Day 4: Inca Trail B,L,D
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to km 82 by bus, where we will meet the Quechua porters and have breakfast. Crossing over the turbulent Vilcanota River, with magnificent views of Nevado Veronica (5,900m/19,000ft) we will continue the expedition admiring the Llactapata archaeological site, and stopping at the Huayllabamba river for lunch. We will visit the archeological sites of Patallacta, Qente, and the valley of Cusichaca and the magical Polylepsis forest. Today the hike will last approximately 7 hours. Camp and dinner at 3,000 meters. Overnight on the trail.
Day 5: Inca Trail B,L,D
Today is one of the most demanding days of the trip as we gain a lot of altitude? We will see outstanding views east to the Huayanay peaks and west into the rugged Vilcabamba Range. After breakfast, we will climb up through the first pass at 4,200 m/13,750 feet at Warmiwanusqa. Passing 3 ecological areas such as the Yunga, Quechua and Puna. we will climb 1200 metres in 5 hours. Today camp and dinner at Pacaymayu. Overnight on the trail.
Day 6: Inca Trail B,L,D
After breakfast, we will trek down through the valley of Pacaymayu to the famous archaeological sites of Runquraqay and continue to the second pass and the restored townsite of Sayaqmarka ("Town in a Steep Place") and explore the Sayaqmarka Ruins. The Inca Trail in this section is a white granite roadway, traversing a thickly forested mountainside. We will then descend to the magnificent archeological Phuyupatamarka ("Cloud Level Town") overnight at phuyupatamarka
Day 7: Inca Trail - Machu Picchu B,L,D
Early morning wake up at 5:00 a.m. for breakfast and to begin down hill hike to intiptata inca site the way it is rich in birds the trek to be the first at the archaeological site of intipata and wiñaywayna . We will descend rapidly from cloud forest into high jungle habitat. Orchids and hummingbirds are commonly seen along this spectacular section of the trail high above the river. We will arrive at Intipunku "Gate of the Sun" to observe Machu Picchu from an elevated vantage point. We continue down to the royal road and at last the "Lost City of the Incas". A guided tour of the marvellous citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows, the Circular Tower and the Sacred Sun Dial and Burial Grounds. After the guided tour, we can enjoy an afternoon of self-exploration and discovery. Camping site
Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cusco B,L
Enjoy a free day in Aguas Calientes. Feel free to re-enter the ruins if you are up for it (re-entry tickets not included). Or simply relax and enjoy the small, quaint town. Another way to spend your day is to try a hike. For the fit adventurer looking for a challenge, you can climb Putu Kusi, a mountain that sits straight across from Machu Picchu. This hike (2 hours) is full of beautiful vegetation and includes lengthy ladder climbs, those who are afraid of heights should take this into consideration. The other option is a rather easy hike, 4 hours, to the Mandor Pampa. This hike includes traveling though the local cloud forest and arriving at a beautiful waterfall. There is plenty of vegetation and small animals to check out along the way. In the late afternoon head to the train station for your return ride to Cusco. Arrival and transfer to the

Day 9: cusco- Puno B,L
Transfer to the bus station for the wonderful trans-altiplano journey. Many stops will be made along the way including a stop for lunch at Siccuani. Reception and transfer to the 3* puno inn hotel in Puno. Accommodation in a family room.
Day 10.- uros amantani B,L,D
Early morning we will pick you up from your Hotel, and then we will transfer you to the port at 8:20am to take the boat to Urcos Island, after enjoying this amazing place we will continue to the Amantani Island which is very important for its environmental and ethnics values.
We will enjoy our lunch here where you will get settle in the houses of the local people. The tour from the island will be all over, visiting the (pacha papa and pacha mama) we will have dinner and we will stay overnight here. Over night local people
Day 11.- amantani taquile, Puno B,L
After a nice Andean breakfast in your host family's home, we will take the boat toward taquile island which is an amazing and unique island from that region, in terms of landscape and the ethnics way of the local people who still abide by their traditional, ancestral costumes.
Being there you will go back many centuries ago, the local people will offer you lodging and food in their houses, after lunch we will return to Puno all the way by boat

Day 12: Puno - Juliaca - Lima B,L
After breakfast, head towards Juliaca, and an excursion to the Silluastani towers. The pre-Inca Sillustani funeral towers lie next to the Umayo Lake and form part of one of the largest and most important necropolis in the world. Used by both the Altiplano civilisation and the Incas and their wives "Collas" to honour their dead and in preparation for the after-life. They were abandoned when the first Spanish arrived. With over ninety chulpas (tombs), all built from volcanic rock, those for the Incas can be easily recognised by their finer detail. Transfer to Juliaca airport for the flight back to Lima. Arrive and transfer to your international flight home.
