Amazing Cotahuasi Canyon 4 Days / 3 Nights Cusco Peru

Itinerary

We leave Arequipa at 4:00pm; the journey takes about 12 hours.

Day 1 Cotahuasi - Colca Canyon

We arrive in Cotahuasi (2,683m) at 3am. Here we will have a siesta of 3 hours, later we will take atransport to the grand town of Pampa marca which takes around 2 hours. During the route we can see marvel at the vastness of the Cotahuasi Canyon, and its abundant vegetation.
When we arrive at Pampa marca we will check into our hostal and then go out for a 2 hour walk up to Huito, the rock forest where we can admire nature's art work, carved in stone. We will stay for around half an hour before going back down to Pampamarca.
After lunch we will go to the Oscune look out and the Hoshla thermal baths where we can relax for a while before retuning to the town here we will have dinner and spend our first night.

Day 2 Cotahuasi - traditional

We will take the 7:00am bus back to Cotahuasi, where we will have breakfast then continuing our journey to the town of Alca (2750m) where we will spend our second night.
Continuing our tour we will walk for two hours to visit the community of Cahuana where the people still use their traditional dress and customs. We will also visit the pre-Inca ruins for around an hour before returning to the town to enjoy our lunch.
In the afternoon we will visit the thermal baths at Luicho, and have a short walk around the town. We will have dinner and spend our second night here.

Day 3 Expedition Cotahuasi

We will leave the town of Alca for going to Cotahuasi, at 7am, where we will spend our last night, we will have breakfast at 9am and then take 4x4 transports for one hour to the second suspension bridge where we will start our 45 minute walk to the gigantic Catarata de Sepia, where the Cotahuasi Riveris with full flow falls from a height of 150m, causing a permanent rainbow to form in the mists. We will have lunch and return to the town of Cotahuasi where we will spend our third night.

Day 4 city of Arequipa

We will get up early at 7am to have breakfast and go to the town of Alca, where we will have one last bath in the Luicho thermal baths. At an agreed time (6pm) we will return to the city of Arequipa where we will arrive at around 3am, later we will transfer to our respective hotels and end our service.
