Trek to the Lost City of the Incas 5D/4N Cusco Peru

The archaeological area of choquekirao is a cultural and natural complex located in the valley and cordillera of vilcabamba. It is part of a system of Andean cities and settlements that included ñusta hispana, vitcos espritu pampa. Concevidayoq, pampaconas and habas pampa.

These were linked by a network of roads paths which eventually connect with the historical santuary of machupicchu. Choquekirao or golden cradle comprises areas of the provinces of cusco and apurimac and it is situated at 3,000 m.a.s.l. in the foothill of the salkantay mountain range surrounded by the snowy apus of qoriwayrachina, ampay, choquetacarpo, pumasillo and panta.

This "cultural and natural complex" spans district of Santa Teresa and vilcabamba in the convencion province in department of cusco, as well as the district of cachora and huanipaca in the abancay province of apurimac department. In this way it occupies both of the left and right hand sides of the river apurimac canyon.

Itinerary

Day 1

Our journey start in Cusco city we will pick up you from your hotel and we will drive by a paved road to cachora there we will pick up the horses the beginning will be down hike with spectacular views of the salkantay and vilcabamba canyon. We will descent to the canyon bottom. Cross the Apurimac River by foot bridge .and then we will ascend to Santa Rosa. Camp (L/D).

Day 2

Today we will hike by couple switch- backs you will arrive to maranpata in this place you will find nice view point you will see it to choquekirao as soon as you will arrive to choquekirao you will visit you guide will explain this fantastic city of the Incas. Camp (B/L/DL).

Day 3

After to reenergize we will explore few more hours this fantastic lost city of the Incas you will fell free only you and the mountains and the fresh breeze from the canyon then we will go down will descent by couple switch backs to the chikiska camping site. Camp. (B/L/D).

Day 4

It constitute our last day of walk the way will be up hill until capuliyoq pass hire you will take break and enjoy the apurimac canyon view . The next way to cachora will be gentle path along the way we could aprecite the last flora and fauna. Then to Cusco. CAMP. (B/L/D).

Day 5

Means you will have one day in choquekirao, and along the way to get there you will have chance to visit killarumiyoq, tarawasi , saywite , and last day to conoc hot spring water. So means you will have plenty of places to visit this way it is considered as the enjoyable way to visit this Inca site. (B.L).
